A class action has been launched by junior doctors in Victoria through the doctor’s union, ASMOF, with similar cases running in NSW.

Class action law firm Hayden Stephens, working with Gordon Legal and the Australian Salaried Medical Officer’s Federation (ASMOF), has launched proceedings on behalf of junior doctors in Victoria.

Group members of the class action allege that they were denied pay for overtime hours. Many of the group members report that issues with excessive hours, fatigue, unpaid un-rostered overtime are widespread and systemic problems across Victorian health services.
